comprimi, & è contra ſeries corporum vim impulſiuam
habentium exercet vim pro menſura multiplicati cor-
poris, & hoc ſanè lumine naturæ conſtat, hinc deduci-
tur infimam laminam aqueam MN noſtri vaſis nullam
compreſſionem pati ab vniuerſa aqua ſuperpoſitą
MA non ſecùs ac ſi à nihilo premeretur vnde fit vt in-
ferior pars aquea MN ablata qua MA tanta vi præ-
cisè comprimat vaſis fundum NO ac ſi ſuperſtaret
immenſa moles aquea NA, ſed illa ob ponderis exi-
guitatem haud ſenſibilem vim vitreo fundo infert,
nec ipſum inflectit, aut diſrumpit, igitur neque vitrum
inflectetur aut conſtringetur quando altiſſima moles a-
quea NA ei ſuperponitur; quia verò hoc euidentiæ
ſenſus repugnat affirmandum eſt, aquam licèt in ipſa-
met aqua iners & quieſcens videatur, neceſſariò gra-
uitatem exercere.
