Ipſe recenſui obiter tum obſerua-
ta propria, tum quæ Galileus congeſſit adſtruen-
do illi Theoremati, Si id corpus, cui inſiſtimus, trans-
feratur, motus omneis noſtros, rerúmqne à nobis mo-
bilium perinde fieri, appareréque, et ſi illud quieſceret.
Cùm rem verò eſſe præter omnem fidem, non tam
doctus Princeps, quàm alij quidam eg comitatu
opinarentur; ſtupuerunt ſanè, cùm iuſſi tam cur-
ru, quàm equo periculum facere, deprehenderunt,
ſeu quieſcerent, ſeu concitatiſſimè transferrentur,
res ſursùm projectas, perinde in manum redire; ma-
nu dimiſſas, ſecundum eandem ſui, equi, aut cur-
rus lineam cadere; emiſſas antrorsùm, nec propiùs,
nec longiùs terram petere; depulſas retrorsùm,
nihilo ſeciùs à tergo diſcedere; directas ab dex-
tram, læuam ve, intra lateralem lineam eg æquo
teneri.
Poſteà, vt planè conuincerentur, deducen-
di fuere ab mare, obſeruaturi, Vtrum naui velociſ-
ſimè tranſlata, perinde atque quieſcente, lapis ſur-
sùm projectus, v. c. eg pede mali, ſecundum mali
longitudinem, tueretur ſemper tam aſcendendo,
quàm deſcendendo eandem à malo diſtantiam, &
ab pedem mali, ſeu in eundem locum præciſè, re-
cideret Vtrum manu ab ſummum malum quieſcen-
te, & abſque vlla vi dimiſſus lapis, in eundem pe-
dem incideret.
Vtrum pari vi eg puppi in proram,
& eg prora in puppin tranſmiſſus, pari impetu fer-
ri appareret, parque ſpatium conficere.
