            Bewegung iſt ziemlich genau feſtgeſtellt und gehört mit zu den

            ſtärkſten Geſchwindigkeiten, die auf ſpektroſkopiſchem Wege bis-

            her ermittelt worden ſind. </s>

            Hinterrad des Wagens, übertrifft ihn noch in der Geſchwin-
              <lb/>
            digkeit ſeiner Bewegung im Weltraum; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1791" xml:space="preserve">aber dieſe Bewegung
              <lb/>
            iſt die entgegengeſetzte. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1792" xml:space="preserve">Er entfernt ſich von der Stelle, welche

            das Sonnenſyſtem jetzt einnimmt, um faſt 45 Kilometer per
              <lb/>
            Sekunde. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1793" xml:space="preserve">Dieſes Ergebnis iſt indeſſen noch um 7 Kilometer
              <lb/>
            unſicher. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1794" xml:space="preserve">Durchſchnittlich kann man alſo annehmen, daß dieſe

            zwei Sterne, welche die Hinterräder des Himmelswagens bilden,
              <lb/>
            ſich von einander mit der Geſchwindigkeit von faſt 90 Kilo-
              <lb/>
            metern in jeder Sekunde entfernen.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1796" xml:space="preserve">Von den zwei Vorderrädern des Wagens iſt der Stern

            zweiter Größe gleichfalls im Begriff, ſich von uns zu ent-

            fernen, und zwar mit einer Geſchwindigkeit von 27 Kilometer
              <lb/>
            pro Sekunde, wobei noch circa 4 Kilometer zweifelhaft ſind.

            Stern dritter Größe iſt, wandert ebenfalls von uns fort, jedoch

            nur mit einer Geſchwindigkeit von 16 Kilometer in der Se-
              <lb/>
            kunde. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1798" xml:space="preserve">Ein Zuſammenhang zwiſchen dieſen zwei Sternen iſt
              <lb/>
            ebenfalls nicht vorhanden. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1799" xml:space="preserve">Da in den dritthalbtauſend Jahren,
              <lb/>
            in welchen man die Helligkeit dieſer Sterne beobachtet hat,
              <lb/>
            ſtets die Lichtſtärke derſelben ſich gleich geblieben zu ſein ſcheint,
              <lb/>
            ſo muß man auf eine ungeheure Entfernung dieſer zwei Sterne
              <lb/>
            von uns ſchließen, die immer noch keinen Unterſchied ihrer
              <lb/>
            Größe bemerkbar gemacht hat.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1801" xml:space="preserve">Intereſſant ſind die zwei den Rädern nächſten Sterne in

            der Deichſel des Wagens. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1802" xml:space="preserve">Sie ſind beide Sterne zweiter
              <lb/>
            Größe. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1803" xml:space="preserve">Beide entfernen ſich von uns, und zwar iſt ihr Lauf

            ſo ziemlich ein gleicher. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1804" xml:space="preserve">Während ſich der den Rädern des

            Wagens nächſte Stern in der Deichſel mit einer Geſchwindig-
