            Gebilde, den

            , G, der an ſeinem Gipfel in ein klebrig-

            feuchtes Ende, die ſogenannte
              <emph style="sp">Narbe</emph>
            , Na, ausläuft. </s>

            immer iſt die Blütendecke einfach, wie in unſerem Fall, häufig
              <lb/>
            ſcheidet ſie ſich in einen äußeren, meiſt kleineren und grünen
              <lb/>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1384" xml:space="preserve">den Kelch, und in einen zarten, prächtig gefärbten
              <lb/>
            größeren Teil: </s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1387" xml:space="preserve">Man hat in dem gewählten Falle der Nießwurz triftigen

            Grund anzunehmen, daß die in unſeren Figuren mit Ne be-
              <lb/>
            zeichneten Gebilde, die einen ſüßen Saft, den “
              <emph style="sp">Nektar</emph>
            “, oder
              <lb/>
            weniger gut “Honig”, ausſondern und enthalten, im Laufe der
              <lb/>
            Generationen aus der inneren Blütendecke hervorgegangen
              <lb/>
            ſind, ſo daß demnach der einzige Kreis der Blütendecke Bd
              <lb/>
            dem Kelch entſprechen würde. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1388" xml:space="preserve">Die zwiſchen Bd und den
              <lb/>
            Staubblättern St eingeſchalteten Tüten bezeichnet man als
              <lb/>
              <emph style="sp">Nektarien</emph>
            , weniger gut als Honigbehälter oder -Gefäße
              <lb/>
            oder mit Sprengel als
              <emph style="sp">Saftbehältnis</emph>

            keit dieſer Organe im Leben der Blumen werden wir gleich
              <lb/>
            eingehen.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1391" xml:space="preserve">Durchſchneiden wir den Fruchtknoten Fr der Länge nach,
              <lb/>
            ſo ſehen wir ihn hohl und eine Längsſeite trägt kleine,
              <lb/>
            eiförmige Körper E, aus denen unter gewiſſen Bedingungen
              <lb/>
            die Samen werden, alſo jene Gebilde, die in den Erdboden
              <lb/>
            gebracht, zu neuen Pflanzenindividuen auswachſen.</s>
