            all’ evidenza dei matematici ſoffrir non poſſono le

            ragioni probabili dei giuriſti, ovvero avvezzi al-

            la probabilità dei giuriſti ſi nojano delle ragioni

            evidenti dei matematici; </s>

            uni, come gli altri. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1823" xml:space="preserve">Et anche dovrebbe per eſſer
              <lb/>
            degno del nome di filoſoſo ſapere perfettamente
              <lb/>
            tutte le fallacie; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1824" xml:space="preserve">perchè ſebbene è vergogna tal-
              <lb/>
            volta l’ uſarle, è però molto maggior vergogna,
              <lb/>
            eſſendo uſate da altri, il non ſaper ſvolgerle, e

            diſcoprirle. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s1825" xml:space="preserve">Ne con tutta queſta ſcienza però ſa-
              <lb/>
            rà gran fatto il filoſofo da apprezzarſi, ſe egli non
              <lb/>
            ſe ne ſervirà a conſeguire le altre; </s>

              <lb/>
            in primo luogo compreſa nell’ animo la varietà,
              <lb/>
            e l’ ordine, e la bellezza di tutte le coſe intellet-
              <lb/>
            tuali, che chiamanſi metafiſiche: </s>

              <lb/>
            diſprezzano, avendole per inſuſſiſtenti, e vane;
              <lb/>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s1828" xml:space="preserve">ma ſe penſaſſero, niuna coſa preſentarſi giammai
              <lb/>
            all’ animo, ne più manifeſta, ne più ferma, et
              <lb/>
            immutabile delle forme univerſali ed aſtratte, e
              <lb/>
            niente eſſer prù certo che quei principj, e quelle
              <lb/>
            verità, che da eſſe a tutte le ſcienze derivano,
              <lb/>
            io non sò, perchè molto più ſtimar non doveſſero
              <lb/>
            quelle coſe, che eſſi chiamano inſuſſiſtenti e va-
              <lb/>
            ne, che non quelle, che eſſi chiamano vere e rea-
              <lb/>
