              <s>The iron crowbars are likewise of two kinds, and each kind is pointed at

              of the stopes on to the floor, the rocks which have been softened by the fire,

              and which cannot be dislodged by the pike. </s>
              <s>A miner's pike, like a sailor's,

              is a long rod having an iron head.</s>
