Omnis portio ſphæræ, vel ſphæroidis abſciſſa

circulo maximo, vel ellipſi per centrum baſibus
portionis parallelæ ſimilis, & æqualis, eam ha­
bet proportionem, quam duo rectangula; & quod
ſphæræ, vel ſphæroidis axis axi portionis congruem
tis ijs, quæ à centro minoris baſis portionis fiunt
ſegmentis, & quod ea, quæ maioris baſis portionis,
& ſphæræ, vel ſphæroidis centra iungit, & axe por
tionis continetur, vnà cum duabus tertijs quadra­
ti axis portionis; ad ſphæræ, vel ſphæroidis dimi­
dij axis quadratum.
Sit portio AQTC ſphæræ, vel ſphæroidis, cuius cen­
trum D, axis autem axi portionis congruens BSEDR,
abſciſſum duobus planis parallelis, neutro per centrum
D acto, nec ipſum intercipientibus: & circa portionis
axim SE ſtet cylindrus, vel portio cylindrica FX ab­
ſciſsa vnà cum portione AQTC ex toto cylindro, vel
