SI poſtea conſideremus incongruentiam pororum,
patet verum non eſſe aduerſariorum aſſertum cum
aiunt, ideò ab aere impediri motiones partium aquę,
quia orificia pororum aeris ſtrictiora ſunt, quam vt per
ea aquæ particulæ ingredi, & fluere poſſint, nam hinc
inferre liceret neque aqueas particulas per ipsammet
aquam cieri, & excurrere poſſe; facilè enim percipi­
tur, quòd in aqua poroſitates non poſſunt eſſe adeò
amplæ, vt per eas intromitti poſſint particulæ eiuſ­
demmet aquæ, ſed debent eſſe multò minores, ſicuti
interſtitia, quæ in aceruo granorum tritici, vel milij
intercipiuntur, ſemper minora ſunt, quam grana eiuſ­
dem tritici, vel milij, aliàs facta acerui concuſſione
ſe mutuò magis conſtringerent amplexarentur quę
granula prædicta, intromiſſis nempè granulis in eiſ­
dem amplis interſtitijs.
Hinc ſequitur vt æquè diffi­
cilè aquæ particulæ per ipſam aquam moueri, agita­
rique poſſint, quàm per aerem, quia nempè æquè in­
commodus eſt progreſſus aquæ per aquam, ac per ae­
rem; ſi verum eſt requiri poroſitates in fluido tantæ
amplitudinis vt capaces ſint particularum aquæ ad
hoc vt per prædictum fluidum moueri queant.
