Ibi aqua di transitum Lunæ per Æquatorem ſequente
ſtagnat, dein Luna ad Boream declinante incipit fluere & refluere,
non bis, ut in aliis portubus, ſed ſemel ſingulis diebus; & æſtus
incidit in occasum Lunæ, defluxus maximus in ortum.
Cum
Lunæ declinatione augetur hic æſtus uſque ad diem ſeptimum
vel octavum, dein per alios ſeptem dies iisdem gradibus decreſcit,
quibus antea creverat; & Luna declinationem mutante ceſſat, ac
mox mutator in defluxum.
Incidit enim ſubinde defluxus in oc­
caſum Lunæ & affluxus in ortum, donec Luna iterum mutet de­
clinationem.
Aditus ad hunc portum fretaque vicina duplex pa­
ter, alter ab Oceano Sinenſiinter Continentem & Inſulam Luco­
niam, alter a Mari Indicointer Continentem & Inſulam Borneo.
An æſtus ſpatio horarum duodecim a Mari Indico& ſpatio hora­
rum fex a Mari Sinenſiper freta illa venientes, & ſic in horam ter­
tiam & nonam Lunarem incidentes, componant huiuſmodi motus;
ſitne alia Marium illorum conditio, obſervationibus vicinorum
littorum determinandum reliquo.
Hactenus cauſas motuum Lunæ & Marium reddidi.De quan­
titate motuum jam convenit aliqua ſubjungere.
