5650HERONIS
XXXV.
Conſtruitur etiam vas, quod quouſque infundas humo-
rem excipit, ſi vero deſiſtas, non amplius excipit.
Fit autem
hoc modo.
Sit vas A B collum
41[Figure 41] habens diaphragmate
C D interſeptum, &

per diaphragma demit-
tatur tubus EF, à fundo
quidem parum diſtans,
excedens autem dia-
phragma ita ut à labro
vaſis non multum diſtet;
circa quem alius tubus
circumponatur G H à
diaphragmate, &
à tubo
tantum diſtans, quan-
tum ad aquæ fluxum ſa-
tis ſit.
Tubi vero G H
pars ſuperior ſquammu-
la obtegatur;
& vas ha-
beat ſpiraculum K in
ventrem deferens.
Quando igitur per collum humorem infundamus,
continget ipſum procederein ventrem vaſis per tubum GH, &
per E F,
aëre per ſpiraculum K excedente.
Quod ſi deſiſtamus, & collum vaſis
exinanitum fuerit, aër continuitatem abrumpet.
Quare humor, qui eſt in
tubo G H delapſus cadet in diaphragma.
Sit autem latitudo circa G H
talis, ut ſua gravitate humor decidat.
At infuſo altero humore, aër in tu-
bo E F collectus, &
in G H non permittet ipſum humorem ingredi. Sed
ſupra vaſis labrum ſuperfundetur.
