IK. A Pipe and Cock whereby the Boiler is ſup-
plied with warm Water from the Top of the cy-
linder.

L. The Shanck of the Piſton, whoſe lower Part is a
circular Plate, in diameter near equal to the Cylin-
der, and cloſeth thereto with the Leather round the
Edge having always 6 or 8 Inches of water upon it, to
prevent the atmoſphere from getting down, and
when the Steam is let into the cylinder, which takes
of or contrevails the Preſſure on the Piſton, it roſes
with the inner End of the great Leaver b, by a Coun-
treballance an the other End b. 2. and when a Va-
cuum is made, it deſcends by the weight of the atmo-
ſphere, and brings down the End of the Leaver b
with a Power capable of raiſing at the other End b 2
any weight, not exceeding the Preſſure of the at-
moſphere on a Cylinder of the diameter made
uſe of.

M. The Injecting-Pipe bringing down cold water
from the ciſtern, g.

N. The Injecting Cock with its Wheel, which is
oppend and ſhut by

OOA ſmal Leaver, and its quarter Wheel, whoſe
two Ends n. 1. et 3 are alternatly liftet up by the Engi-
nes motion.

P. An axis moving between two Standards with
its Shanks no. 4. 5. 6. 8. 9. and a Slider no. 10, fix'd to
the Spanner, or handle of the regulator, for opening
and ſhutting it.

Q. A Beam hanging on the great Leaver, and mo-
ving with it up and down perpendicularly, which
opens and ſhuts the regulator and Injecting-Cock, by
means of 3 Pins, ſet higher or lower, as occaſion
