1ipſum reſiliendo proximè attigiſſet. Ex quo effici­
tur, vt cùm res propriè attendenda non ſit, vbi cla­
uus infra lineam defigitur, quòd tunc libratio ſimplex
non ſit, ſed miſtio duorum motuum, quorum im­
petus ſe mutuò retundunt; ſit verò propriè atten­
tenda, cùm clauo ſupra lineam defixo, vibrationis
motus ſimplex eſt; ideò non ſit exiſtimandum illam
qualemcumque interuallorum inæqualitatem in­
terturbare negotium; ac potiſſimùm quidem, cùm
ipſa ordinata ſint, ac eandem inter ſe, quàm fili, &
arcus prolixitates proportionem ſeruent.
Ad hæc,
id videtur præſertim eſſe obſeruatione dignum in
his pendu orum vibrationibus, quòd, Si quatuor di­
ſtinctos g obos quatuor diſtinctis filis ſic appendas,
vt primi longitudo ſit vnius, v. c. pedis, ſecundi qua­
tuor, tertij nouem, quarti ſexdecim; experturus ſis,
vbi omnes dimiſſi ſimul fuerint, quartum perfectu­
rum vnam vibrationem eodem tempore, quo ter­
tius interim perfecerit duas, ſecundus treis, & primus
quatuor.
Scilicet exinde intelligitur, tum pendulo­
rum vibrationes tantò ſegnius fieri, quantò earum
arcus planiores, ſiue inclinatiores ſunt; tum inclina­
tiones arcuum menſuratas ſecundum varias perpen­
diculi, ſeu fili longitudines, habere ſe perinde vt qua­
drata temporum, ac vibrationes habere ſe reciprocè
vt ipſas radices; ſicque rem eximiè quadrare ad ſu­
periùs expoſitam motus æquabilis rationem; tum
globum quartum non acquirere impetum ad eleua­
tionem neceſſarium, niſi tempore duplo tertij, tri­
plo ſecundi, quadruplo primi; ac eſſe quidem im-
