Theorema CXI. Propositio CXXII.
Sit triangulum ABC, & ducatur quædam recta linea AD, quem ipsam BC bisariam secet. Dico quadrata ex BA AC quadratorum ex AD DC dupla esse.

Let there be a triangle ABC and there is drawn a straight line AD, which bisects BC. I say that the squares of BA and AC are twice the squares of AD and AC. Harriot's triangles are lettered abd with the point b bisecting cd.
