              <s xml:space="preserve"> In 1610, Galileo published a new discovery in the form of an anagram of the letters: smaismrmilmepoetaleumibunenugttauiras. On this and several other pages Harriot tried out sentences made from these letters. Galileo's solution, published later the same year, was a reference to the rings around Saturn:</s>
