titude betwixt the Tropicks: And ſo con-
ſequently in all Declining Dials, the Ele-
vation of whoſe Pole is leſs than the Sun's
greateſt Declination; as Clavius, de Horol.
cap. 21. obſerves: Yet the Circumſtances of
this relation in Scripture, makes the Event
to differ from that other which is common
and natural; which againſt its nature did
ſeem to go backwards, when as the Sun it
ſelf was not in the leaſt manner altered from
its uſual courſe. Of this opinion were A-
barbinell, Arius Montanus, Burgenſis, Vatablas
Sanctius, & c.
