            he ſpeaks of the Earth ſtanding out of the
              <lb/>
            Water, and in the Water, {γῆ} συνεςῶσα;

            <s xml:id="echoid-s3637" xml:space="preserve">’Tis evident that the word

            here is equivalent with fuit: </s>

              <lb/>
            of the Apoſtle is, to ſhew, that God made
              <lb/>
            all the Earth; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3639" xml:space="preserve">both that which was above
              <lb/>
            the Water, and that which was under it.

            <s xml:id="echoid-s3640" xml:space="preserve">So that from this expreſſion, to collect the
              <lb/>
            reſt and immobility of the Earth, would be
              <lb/>
            fuch an Argument as this other. </s>

              <lb/>
            Man made that part of a Mill-wheel; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3642" xml:space="preserve">or a
              <lb/>
            Ship, which ſtands below the Water, and
              <lb/>
            that part which ſtands above the Water; </s>

            therefore thoſe things are immoveable.</s>

            of the World in general, and not particu-
              <lb/>
            larly of our Earth; </s>

              <lb/>
            well prove the immobility of the Heavens,
              <lb/>
            they being the greateſt part of the World;
