            ted Baſis; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3727" xml:space="preserve">and by the Septuagint, ’{ἐπὶ} τ{ιὼ}

            ασφάλ{ει}αν ὰυτῦs;</s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3728" xml:space="preserve">; that is, he hath founded

            it upon its own firmneſs; </s>

            altogether without motion.</s>

            the Root, טומ, which ſignifies declinare;

            not be underſtood properly, as if the natu-
              <lb/>
            tural Frame of the Earth, like other artiſi-
              <lb/>
            cial Buildings, did need any bottom to up-
              <lb/>
            hold it; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3737" xml:space="preserve">for he hangeth the Earth upon no-
              <lb/>
            thing, Job 26. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3738" xml:space="preserve">7. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3739" xml:space="preserve">But it is a Metaphor, and
              <lb/>
            ſignifies God's placing or ſcituating this
              <lb/>
            Globe of Land and Water. </s>
