matters as do meerly concern Opinion, and

poſe unto them a ſpeech of S. Hierome, con-
cerning ſome that were of the ſame mind
in his time; Cum novas ſemper expetant vo-
luptates, & gulæ eorum vicina Maria non ſuf-
ficiant, cur in ſolo ſtudio Scripturarum, veteri
ſapore contenti ſunt?
