& ab hac experientia luculenter euinci-
tur ſomnium illorum, qui aiunt ad vitandum vacuum
rapidiſſimo motu oleum poſticè recurrere, & ſic poſ-
ſe aquæ ſuperficiem contundere, & explanare.

propter aqua excepto ſimplici contactu in ſuperficie

motus inchoat, eius figura debet eſſe tumida con-
uexa, & contornata, cum è contra eadem aqua aſcen-
dens
intra mercurium ſi extruderetur à fluido ambi-
ente neceſſariò eius poſtica baſis versùs principium
