Septima lauandi ratione lotores utuntur, cùm mons eo loco, quo in ſe con

lapillos nigros, uel auri aliorumúe metallorum ramenta, riuo caret.

enim lotores, in decliui, quæ ei ſubijcitur, parte foſſas ſæpius plures quàm
quinquaginta agunt, uel totidem lacus faciunt, longos pedes ſex, latos tres,
altos dodrantem: quorum alius ab alio non ita longo interuallo diſtet: itaque
his temporibus, quibus torrens ex magnis & diuturnis imbribus ortus fer­
tur per montem, lotorum alij in ſylua materiam metallicam ligonibus latis
fodiunt & in torrentem trahunt: alij torrentem in foſſas uellacus deriuant:
alij radices arborum, fruticum, herbarum ex foſſis uel lacubus, ligneis furcis
ſepticornibus eijciunt.
Poſt quam uerò torrens delapſus eſt, lapillos nigros,
uel metallorum ramenta, quæ in foſſis aut lacubus impura reſederunt, batil
lo exemptos faciunt puros.
