Ab hoc alter canalis differt pluribus tabulis, quibus in eum impoſitis qua­
ſi quibuſdam gradibus diſtinguitur.
Imponuntur uerò ſi longus pedes du­
odecim fuerit, quatuor: ſi nouem, tres: quanto quæque capiti proximior, tan
to altior: quanto ab eo remotior, tanto humilior.
Itaque cùm ſuprema fuerit al
ta pedem & palmum, ſecunda eſſe ſolet alta pedem & digitos tres, tertia pedem &
digitos duos, infima pedem & digitum.
In hoc canali potiſſimum lauatur materia
metallica, quam cribrum amplum tranſmiſit in uas quod aquam continet: quæ
materia uſque ad eum finem batillo ferreo conijcitur in canalis caput, & aqua in
ipſum immiſſa rutro ligneo agitatur, dum canalis plenus fuerit: tum tabellis à
lotore exemptis aqua colatur.
Deinde materia metallica, quæ in eius rece­
ptaculis reſedit, rurſus lauatur uel in area curta, uel in area linteis extenſis con
tecta
, uel in cribro anguſto: ſed quia curta cum hoc canale & ſuperiore ple­
runque coniungitur, fiſtula aquam primo in canalem tranſuerſum infundit:
ex quo per unum canaliculum defluit in canalem, per alterum in aream.
