1tuor aſſerum complexu coercent & continent, atque totum luto craſſo ſuperi
us obducunt: in hunc primo imponunt arida & parua piceaſtri ligna, dein­

Alij denique capſam longam pedes octo, latam quatuor, altam duos, totam
ferè arena complent & lateribus ſternunt, atque ſic focum efficiunt.
Capſa in
medio habet ligneum codacem, qui uerſatur in forma duorum tignorum in­
ter ſe tranſuerſorum: ea ſunt dura, craſſa, in terra defoſſa, utrinque perforata: in
quæ foramina pali cuneati adiguntur, ut tigna immobilia maneant: capſa cir­
cumagi & in uentum, ex quacunque cœli parte flantem, obuerti poſſit.
In tali
foco locant ferream cratem, tam longam & latam quàm ipſe eſt, altam uerò
dodrantem: cui pedes ſex ſunt, bacilla autem tranſuerſa tam multa ut fer­
me contigua ſint: crati ligna tedæ imponunt, & ſuper ea uenæ fragmenta: ſu
per quæ rurſus ligna tedæ, his accenſis uenam excoquunt: cuius plumbum ci
nereum, quo ſtillat, quia minime comburitur, hæc excoquendi ratio utiliſſima
