1batillis tunditur. Quidam ſi talis arenula eis defuerit, pyram puluere, à car­
bonibus reſoluto, non aliter ac carbonarij tegunt.
At Goſelariæ compoſiti­
oni, in metæ figuram formatæ, atramentum ſutorium rubrum, quo deſtillat
pyrites uſtus, aquis madefactum illinunt.
Alibi autem ſemel uena uritur:
alibi bis, alibi ter, prout ipſius duricies id poſtulat.
Goſelariæ quidem cùm
pyrites tertiò uritur, is, qui in ſummo pyræ eſt collocatus, exudat, ut aliàs ſcri­
pſi, quiddam ſubuiride, aridum, aſperum, tenue: quod ignis non aliter ac a­
miantum non facile comburit.
Quinetiam perſæpe aqua immittitur in ue­
nam uſtam & adhuc calentem, hac de cauſa, ut magis molleſcat & friabilis
fiat.
Nam cùm uis ignium eius humorem exiccauit, aqua calentem facilius
diſſoluit: cuius rei maximum indicium ſunt ſaxa calcaria uſta.
