thematicarum collectionum
libro ita diffiniuit.
λέγομεν δἐ κἐντρον βάρους ἑκά στου σἀ
ματος {εἶ}ναι σημ\~ειον τικείμενον ἑντὸς, ἀφ
οὖ κα\’τ ἐποίνιαν ἀρτηθέν τό βάρος ἡμερ{εἶ}
φερόμενον, καὶ φυλὰσσει τήν ἐξἀρχ\~νςθἐ-
σιν, οὐ μὴ περιτρεπ ὸμενον ἐντῆ φορᾶ.
hoc eſt,
Dicimus autem centrum grauitatis uniuſcu-
inſque corporis punctum quoddam intra poſi-
cum, à quo ſi graue appenſum mente concipia-
tur, dum fertur quieſcit;
& ſeruat eam, quam in
principio habebat poſitionem:
neque in ipſa la-
tione circumuertitur.
Poſſumus etiam hoc modo diffinire.
Centrum grauitatis uniuſcuiuſque ſolidæ figu
ræ eſt punctum illud intra poſitum, circa quod
undique partes æqualium momentorum conſi-
ſtunt.
