            quently uſed for the reſolving of theſe kind
              <lb/>
            of Doubts.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4461" xml:space="preserve">From thoſe Magnetical Qualities,
              <lb/>
            which all Elementary Bodies do par-
              <lb/>
            take of.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4463" xml:space="preserve">2. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4464" xml:space="preserve">From the like motions of other things

            within the room of a ſailing Ship.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4467" xml:space="preserve">From the like participation of motion
              <lb/>
            in the open parts of a Ship.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4469" xml:space="preserve">1. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4470" xml:space="preserve">For thoſe Magnetical Properties, with
              <lb/>
            which all theſe Bodies are endowed. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4471" xml:space="preserve">For
              <lb/>
            the better underſtanding of this, you muſt
              <lb/>
            know, That beſides thoſe common Elemen-
              <lb/>
            tary Qualities of Heat, Coldneſs, Drineſs,
              <lb/>
            Moiſture, &</s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4472" xml:space="preserve">c. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4473" xml:space="preserve">which ariſe from the pre-
              <lb/>
            dominancy of ſeveral Elements; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4474" xml:space="preserve">there are
              <lb/>
            likewiſe other Qualities (not ſo well known
              <lb/>
            to the Ancients) which we call Magnetical,
              <lb/>
            of which every Particle in the Terreſtrial
              <lb/>
            Globe does neceſſarily participate: </s>

              <lb/>
            whether it be joined to this Globe by conti-
              <lb/>
            nuity or contiguity; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4476" xml:space="preserve">or whether it be ſe-
              <lb/>
            vered from it, as the Clouds in the ſecond
              <lb/>
            Region, a Bird or Bullet in the Air; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s4477" xml:space="preserve">yet
              <lb/>
            does it ſtill retain its Magnetical Qualities,
              <lb/>
            together with all thoſe Operations that pro-
              <lb/>
            ceed from them.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4479" xml:space="preserve">Now from theſe Properties do we ſup-
              <lb/>
            poſe the Circular Motion of the Earth to
              <lb/>
            ariſe.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4481" xml:space="preserve">If you ask, What Probabilities there are,
              <lb/>
            to prove that the Earth is endowed with any
              <lb/>
            ſuch affections? </s>
