            <s xml:id="echoid-s3991" xml:space="preserve">’Tis not in the Equator, and beſide the

            Axis. </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3992" xml:space="preserve">For then, firſt, there will be no E-
              <lb/>
            quinox at all in ſome places, when the Days
              <lb/>
            and Nights ſhall be of an equal length. </s>

            condly, The Afternoons and Forenoons
              <lb/>
            will not be of the ſame length; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3994" xml:space="preserve">becauſe,

            then our Meridian-Line muſt divide the He-
              <lb/>
            miſphere into unequal parts.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s3997" xml:space="preserve">’Tis not in the Axis, but out of the

            Equator; </s>
            <s xml:id="echoid-s3998" xml:space="preserve">For then, firſt, the Equinox would
              <lb/>
            not happen when the Sun was in the middle
              <lb/>
            Line between the two Solſtices, but in ſome
              <lb/>
            other Parallel, which might be nearer to one
              <lb/>
            of them, according as the Earth did ap-
              <lb/>
            proach to one 'Fropick more than another.

            portion between the increaſe and decreaſe
              <lb/>
            of Days and Nights, as now there is.</s>

            <s xml:id="echoid-s4002" xml:space="preserve">’Tis not beſides both of them: </s>

            then, all theſe Inconveniences, and ſundry
              <lb/>
            others, muſt with the ſame neceſſity of con-
              <lb/>
            ſequence be inferred. </s>

              <lb/>
            follow, That the Earth muſt be ſcituated
              <lb/>
            there, where the Axis and Equator meet,
              <lb/>
            which is in the Center of the World.</s>

            needs be placed, both in the Axis and Equa-
              <lb/>

            that Sphere which we imagine about it:</s>
