[Commentary:
This page is part of Harriot's experiments on refractive colours. A few preliminary calculations concerning the glass prism in these color experiments. In particular, Harriot calculates bc, the distance between the apex of the prism c and the point b that the eye observes on the prism, as a proportion of the distance between the prism and the card, bk. As the measurements on f. 190 record, bc=1118 inches, and bk=6 feet. If the latter is taken as 10000000, then bc=84876.543. ]
