                  ſti Dei per la loro tenerezza l'opere ſottili, & floride, ornate di foglie, & di uolute pa­

                  a gli altri Dei che ſono di quella ſimiglianza facendoſi i lauori Ionichi, egli ſi hauerà ri

                  tezza della Ionica ſarà la loro proprietà moderata. </s>

                  hauemo i Dei falſi, & buggiardi, non manca però l'occaſione di ſeruare il Decoro nelle chieſe

                  conſecrate a i ueri amici del uero Dio, & anche alla Maieſtà di quello; & come che molti ſono,

                  & differenti nello ſplendore di diuerſe uirtuti, come le ſtelle del cielo differenti ſono in chiarez

                  za; egli ſi può bene uſare ogni maniera conueniente, & propria a gli effetti di ciaſcuno. </s>

                  mente la moderata uita ricerca la temperatura dell'una, & dell'altra parte. </s>

                  dere, che ſolamente habbiano ad eſſere tre maniere di opere, perche Vitru. ne habbia tre ſole

                  <s id="s.000770">percioche egli ſteſſo nel quarto libro al ſettimo cap. ui aggiugne la Toſcana, & dice

                  anche che ui ſono altre maniere, & i moderni ne fanno, & la ragione lo richiede, per fare differen­

                  za da i nostri ſanti alli Dei falſi de gli antichi, & è in potere d'uno circonſpetto & prudente Ar­

                  chitetto di componere con ragione di miſure molte altre maniere, ſeruando il Decoro, & non ſer­

                  uendo a ſuoi capricci. </s>

                  de gli edificij magnifiche ſi daranno l'entrate, & i neſtibuli conuenienti, & belli, percio­
                    <lb/>
                  che non ſarà di decoro, & ornamento, ſe le parte interiori ſaranno fatte con eleganza, &
                    <lb/>
                  le intrate baſſe, & uergognoſe. </s>
                  <s id="s.000774">Simigliantemente ſe ne gli Architraui Dorici ſi ſcolpi=

                  ranno nelle cornici i dentelli, ouero ſe ne i capitelli puluinati, o ne gli architraui Ionichi

                  ſaranno cauati gli Triglifi. traportandoſi da un'altra ragione le proprietà in altro lauoro, ſi

                  offenderà il uedere, per eſſer prima la uſanza altrimenti. </s>

                  Proprio è nel gocciolatoio Ionico ſcolpire i dentelli; queſti ſe nella opera Dorica ſaranno trapor­

                  tati, come fece colui il quale fabricò il Theatro, che Auguſto fece fare in nome di Marcello ſuo ni
                    <lb/>
                  pote, offenderà gli occhi aſſuefatti ad altra ueduta: ſimilmente farà colui, il quale ne gli architra

                  ui Ionichi farà i membretti canelati, che ſi chiamano Triglifi. percioche queſti ſono proprij della
                    <lb/>
                  maniera Dorica, come Vitr. ci dimoſtra nel quarto libro. </s>

                  ne di molti uocabuli, per non ritardare la intentione di chi deſidera ſapere ordinatamente.

                  <s id="s.000777">Il decoro naturale ſarà, ſe prima per fabricare tutti i Tempij ſi farà elettione di luo­

                  ghi ſommamente ſani, & delle fonti delle acque idonee, in quelle parti, doue ſi hanno a

                  fare le ſacre caſe ſaranno eletti; Et ſpecialmente dopo ad Eſculapio, alla Salute, & a que­
                    <lb/>
                  gli dei, per le medicine de i quali molti infermi pare, che ſiano riſanati; perche quando i
                    <lb/>
                  corpi ammalati ſaranno traportati di peſtilente in luogo ſano, & dalle fonti ſalubri ſaran=

                  no loro le buone acque recate, molto piu preſto ricouereranno la ſanità, & coſi auenirà che
