The Lumbini International Research Institute

The Lumbini International Research Institute is located in Lumbini, Nepal. the birthplace of Shakyamuni Buddha, where it is an integral part of the intellectual life of the Lumbini Master Plan. The Institute provides research facilities for the study of religion in general and Buddhism in particular by maintaining a research library. The Institute is supported by the Reiyukai (Tokyo, Japan).
