1pendet ab habitu principiorum, loco illorum nititur conclu­
ſionibus demonſtratis in ſuperiori ſcientia.
Et hac ratione
nihil demonſtratur in Perſpectiua, quod non inferatur ex con­
cluſionibus Geometriæ cui ipſa ſubordinatur; nihilque in Mu­
ſica, quod non nitatur concluſionibus ac principijs Arithme­
ticæ cui ſimiliter ipſa ſubalternatur.
Secundum requiſitum eſt, vt idem ſit obiectum ſubalter­
natæ, ac ſubalternantis ſecundum aliquam rationem forma­
lem.
Quandoquidem ſi ſubiecta eſſent eſſentialiter diuerſa
ſecundum formalitatem qua cadunt ſub ſcientiam, non dare­
tur tranſitus à ſcientia ſubalternata ad ſubalternantem, vt do­
cet Ariſtoteles; hoc eſt accipiendo ex illa propria principia
ac media ad probandum ſuas concluſiones; quia tam paſſio­
nes demonſtrandæ de ſubiecto, quàm principia quæ ſunt
cauſæ intrinſecæ ipſarum paſſionum, debent eſſe maximè pro­
pria & connexa cum ipſo ſubiecto: nihil autem poteſt eſſe
maximè proprium duobus ſubiectis eſſentialiter diuerſis; ac
proinde ex connexione cum principijs vnius, inferri non po­
teſt connexio alterius ad conficiendas demonſtrationes.
Ea­
dem ergo eſſentialiter debent eſſe ſubiecta ſubalternantis, ac
ſubalternatæ, ſaltem ſecundum aliquam rationem formalem,
quamuis alia ratione differant inter ſe.
Semper enim ratio
illa formalis ſub qua agitur de aliquo in ſcientia, vniuerſaliori
ac ſimpliciori modo conſideratur in ſubalternante, quàm in
ſubalternata, in qua ſemper contrahitur ab aliqua differentia
accidentali ſuperaddita, vt conſtat in Muſica reſpectu Arith­
meticæ, & in Perſpectiua reſpectu Geometriæ.
Siquidem in
Arithmetica ſimpliciter conſideratur numerus ſecundum ſe,
in Muſica vero conſideratur numerus in ſono.
Similiterque in
Geometria ſolum conſiderantur lineæ, in Perſpectiua vero
conſiderantur in viſu, quæ differentiæ putantur accidentales;
nam vt docet Ariſtoteles locis citatis, & 13 metaph.
